Passing by the Confucian Temple
Earlier this month, I found myself near the Confucian Temple, and with nothing pressing on my mind, I decided to wander in for a while.
The temple is currently undergoing renovations, so there were only a few people inside. The midday sun in August was blazing and intense, making it even less likely for anyone to be around.
At the entrance of a quaint little courtyard, some green plants were growing, along with a few vine-covered plants that looked like vegetables.

Dazhong Barber Shop was one of the few brightly colored storefronts, with "Dazhong" perhaps meaning popular with the masses or offering affordable prices.

Adjacent to it stands another breakfast haven, awash in vibrant hues, its name a whisper from the nearby alley's end.
